I’m currently sat at the services, stocking up on food and drink. Whilst I sit here I’m checking my emails, responding to those that need it; also Reading the news through Twitter links; catching up with some blogs; checking the facebook pages that I admin for customers.
I do this whilst relaxing in jeans and a zipped top; reflecting on a morning filming.
In short I’m a casual young business(ish) sort of chap.
Across the way is a 40 year old suited and booted gent. Leafing through a newspaper.
The difference in working styles is so obvious as I observe. Neither is better or worse, but the overriding factor is that one is getting their information online and the other from printed media.
For me, printed media is out of date as soon as it’s printed. There’s always new comments and opinion on these.
For him, he’s happy to digest the news in this way.
Will printed media be around for another generation? No.
Should we enjoy it whilst it is around? Yes, because we’ll miss it when it’s gone.
Times they are a-changing.
